Welcome to Hubfly ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclosure, and safeguard your information when you use the Hubfly platform, including our website, CLI tools, and container orchestration services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide our cloud infrastructure services, handle billing, and ensure security.
1.1. Personal Information
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and authentication credentials.
- Billing Information: We collect billing details and payment history. Note: Sensitive payment data (e.g., credit card numbers) is processed by our third party payment processors and is not stored directly on our servers.
- Team & Project Data: Information regarding project ownership, team memberships, and invitations sent to other users.
1.2. Service Usage Data (Granular Billing)
To operate our usage based billing model, we continuously monitor and log:
- Resource Consumption: precise CPU usage, RAM usage (GB-hours), and Storage block uptime.
- Container Activity: Uptime duration (start/stop times), instance states (active vs. sleep), and scaling events.
- Network Traffic: Ingress and egress bandwidth usage to calculate applicable fees.
1.3. User Content & Technical Data
- Container Data: We host the Docker containers, code, and environment variables you deploy. While we host this data, we do not access the internal contents of your containers unless required for support, security, or legal reasons.
- Persistent Storage: Data stored in "Storage Blocks" or volumes attached to your instances.
- SSH Keys: When using the Hubfly CLI and Tunnel features, we collect and store your SSH Public Keys to authenticate secure connections. We do not collect or store your private keys.
- Tunnel Logs: For security auditing, we log metadata regarding ephemeral SSH tunnels, including the creator's ID, timestamp, target container, and assigned host ports.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- Service Provision: To deploy, manage, and scale your Docker containers and network tunnels.
- Billing & Accounting: To calculate precise usage costs based on our pricing model (e.g., $0.005/vCPU/hr) and manage free tier allocations.
- Security & Authentication: To verify identity via the CLI or web dashboard, manage SSH access, and prevent abuse (e.g., crypto mining or unauthorized scanning).
- Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns (e.g., commonly used Docker images) to optimize our infrastructure.
3. Data Retention
- Ephemeral Data: Data in non persistent container storage is deleted immediately when the container is stopped or destroyed.
- Persistent Data: Data in Storage Blocks is retained until you explicitly delete the block, or until your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
- Logs: Access logs, tunnel audit logs, and usage metrics are retained for a limited period to facilitate debugging and security audits.
4. Disclosure of Data
We may share your information in the following situations:
- Law Enforcement & Legal Compliance: We will disclose your personal information, access logs, and stored content to law enforcement authorities if:
- We are required to do so by law (e.g., a Wcourt order).
- We have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to report suspected illegal activities (e.g., child exploitation, terrorism, cyberattacks).
- Service Providers: With third party vendors for payment processing and infrastructure hosting.
5. Security of Your Information
We implement industry standard security measures, including:
- Isolation of container environments.
- Encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS).
- Strict access controls for SSH tunnels (e.g., ephemeral keys, audit logging).
- Regular security assessments of our Docker integration.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data (containers, storage blocks, and keys).
- Export your project data.
